Prior to Covid-19, Ohde was invited to the main island to conduct media coverage of a Parley village clean up in Karamas Village. We were met with warm faces and a keen group of villagers eager to make a difference to their hometown.
Parley is an international movement aimed at eliminating plastic pollution within the world's oceans.

A special mention to Mr Henry West, renowned Creative Director in the field of sustainability and action sports. West's background includes many successful campaigns with some of the largest brands around the globe. He is well known for his Parley x Adidas productions that cemented his foundations on the international stage; including an award winning video piece.
We forged our working relationship with Henry on Nusa Ceningan, a small island where Henry had focused his works for Clean Waves. It was a no brainer to team up with Henry given his background working with Ocean Plastic & Clean Waves. West has a history directing films on the front line with the message of reducing marine plastic pollution & educating local Indonesian youth. Typically, we found him just as we had last left him, surfing.
The stage was set in Karamas, Bali, famous for it's black sands and hosting some of the largest surf competitions in the world (such as World Surfing League [WSL]). West developed our relationships with the village's Elders & Governors and collected a clear majority of the villagers to assist in a river clean-up.
"A significant portion of the marine plastic pollution around the world is swept from the land during rainfall and flows into the ocean via rivers. Therefore, if we can stop the pollution in the river, we can save the oceans."
